A native of Tennessee and a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Joe attained the rank of Captain as an active duty Air Force officer following the events of 9/11. For nearly four years Joe helped manage the cost, schedule, and performance of several multimillion-dollar, taxpayer-funded defense programs, all the while embracing the Air Force core values:
- Integrity First
- Service before Self
- Excellence in All We Do
By 2005, after supporting Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, Joe had fulfilled his post-graduate military service and embarked on his next mission – to join the private sector. For the next decade Joe excelled as a leader in multiple Corporate Finance capacities in Chicago at Northrop Grumman, ranging from consulting with corporate office and sector clients to providing financial analysis and forecasts for capital investment decision-making, risk management, and performance evaluation.
In 2015 Joe redirected his passion for helping others preserve, protect, and enhance their financial wellbeing and launched his own successful needs-based financial planning practice. Now an integral member of the V Financial Partners team and a seasoned financial professional, Joe emphasizes his “give first” philosophy with clients and focuses on education to simplify the often-overwhelming details of investing and retirement planning. Whether he is serving institutions, businesses, families, or individuals, Joe’s ultimate goal is to create peace of mind and financial empowerment for his clients.
In addition to his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame, Joe holds a Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) from Wright State University, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Analytic Finance, Economics, and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation – the only globally-recognized credential for investment analysis and management.
Joe is a member of CFA Institute, volunteers his expertise on the investment committee for the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, and previously served on the CFA Society Cleveland board as the Career Services chair.
Joe lives in Avon with his wife and their two children.
